ACE COMBAT adalah game combat flight simulator yang berkisah tentang pertempuran di udara dengan menggunakan pesawat tempur .Published by Namco and produced by Project Aces, dan memiliki dua versi yaitu PAL (Jepang) dan NTSC (USA)
Game ini pertama dirilis pada tahun 1992 dengan nama Air Combat dengan platform Arcade (mesin game yang ada di timezone dulu) dan Air combat pertama ini hanya bisa menggunakan pesawat f -16 .Kemudian Air combat muncul di platform Playstation dan dapat menggunakan beberapa pesawat yang lain .
Selanjutnya seri Air combat berubah namanya menjadi Ace combat 2 yang muncul pada tahun
1997 dengan grafik yang lebih bagus dan lebih banyak pesawatnya .Ace combat pun terus berkembang hingga sekarang .
